The Adventures of Terrik Zion

Holy cow, I had an insanely productive week! At my last update, I had just finished flatting pages 25-29. The next day, I colored page 25 and got halfway through coloring 26. On Thursday, I finished coloring page 26 and then started and completed colors on page 27. On Friday, I colored page 28, and on Saturday I colored page 29 which marks completion for all the interior pages on issue 5! I took Sunday off, and then dove back into working on the cover yesterday, whereupon I completed my digital roughs and physical pencils on the cover. Today, I inked and flatted the cover, and also got in some quick color sketching to work out my final vision. I’m SO EXCITED for this cover, I love it! And another really cool fact: I started working on TATZ issue 3 thumbnails on July 22, 2020. So if I finish the cover and lettering on the book, I’ll have produced three entire Terrik Zion issues in exactly a years’ time. One book every four months (on average) ain’t bad! At least, I don’t think so, if I do say so myself. After this, I’m going to take a little bit of a break so I can work through recoloring/editing some of issue 1 and thinking about compiling a trade paperback. I dipped my toe in the burn out pool a few times this last year so I need to reassess my working habits and try to be a little more balanced with my approach.
