I had the absolute worst migraine on Monday and barely got any commission work done. But it got a bit better at night and I was able to get in some work after all. Today was great, got in a few hours this morning and then a few more tonight. It rained last night (forecast said it would be sunny skies at 72+ degrees every day this week) so I wasn’t able to do any yard work as planned, but I think it ought to be dry enough out tomorrow to get some of that taken care of. I still haven’t gotten any work done on TATZ issue 6 though… I’m not sure what to do about that. I’d hate to abandon issue 6 at such a late stage of development, but to finish the book would take me an estimated 75 hours of work (to color and letter each of 27 pages) but I also have to add in another 44 hours to pencil, ink and flat the last six unfinished pages. That’s 119 hours of work on top of my current schedule of 5-8 hours of commission work each day. I dunno, that’s not so different from making comics while working fulltime at the office, but it used to take me about a year to churn out one book then. We’ll see, I really really REALLY don’t want to give up on finishing issue 6, but there’s a good chance that after that it’ll have to go on hiatus again. Which sucks because I have like 15 more issues all planned and ready to script, but I can’t generate an income on TATZ work so I have to prioritize the work that pays my bills. Sorry to be such a downer this week, I don’t mean to be. Anyway, I guess I’ll cut it off there and see y’all next week.
